Are you a visionary leader with extensive experience in managing large-scale EPC projects within the energy sector? Semco Maritime is seeking a Project Director to head our ambitious projects in transitional energies, driving major initiatives that shape the future of global energy.
Your Role
As Project Director within our Transitional Energies division, you will be responsible for significant projects, ensuring strategic alignment with our corporate goals. Your leadership will be crucial in navigating complex project landscapes, fostering innovation, and setting standards for project excellence.

Based at our Global Headquarters in Esbjerg, Denmark, you will enjoy a dynamic work environment at the heart of the Danish energy industry. This full-time position includes strategic travel, approximately 30-40 days per year, to oversee project progress and engage with key stakeholders globally.

Your Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Strategically manage large-scale projects, from development through completion.
  • Lead cross-functional teams across global locations, ensuring cohesive project execution.
  • Drive the strategic planning and execution phases, aligning projects with business objectives.
  • Oversee budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure project success.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders, including investors, government entities, and major clients, to secure project buy-in and facilitate smooth execution.
  • Champion our safety and sustainability standards, embedding these core values in every project phase.

Your profile & qualification

  • Proven track record as a senior project leader preferably as a Project Director in large-scale energy projects.
  • Strong strategic perception and the ability to make high-level decisions that affect project outcomes and company direction.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with experience managing diverse and geographically distributed teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of the energy sector, including regulatory environments and technological advancements. Experience from large-scale EPC civil works projects will be an advantage.
  • Robust experience in stakeholder management, capable of steering complex negotiations and partnerships.
  • Relevant advanced degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are highly regarded.
