Danmark, Denmark Lind Capital Full time 80,000 - 150,000 per year

Join our journey to advance quantitative trading through data, models, and experimentation.

Who we are

At Lind Capital, we take a different approach to trading. We're a proprietary trading firm made up of market specialists, data scientists, and engineers who combine technical expertise with market understanding. With no external investors, we focus on what matters: using data, models, and technology to make the best possible trades.

We bring together talented people from diverse backgrounds in an informal work environment focused on creating results together. We empower our team to make decisions and prefer direct collaboration over bureaucracy.

Our diverse team of 25+ is based in Aarhus, Denmark.

Data & ML in Lind Capital

Data and quantitative modelling are at the heart of our trading strategies. You'll join our international technology team – a close group of software, ML, and data engineers – working across cross-functional squads together with traders and quants.

We're currently building the foundation for our next generation of trading research and production systems: pipelines, backtesting frameworks, and ML-driven signal generation. You'll play a key role in shaping and scaling these capabilities.

The role

As a Data Scientist, you will turn data into insights and models that drive our trading decisions. You'll work end-to-end: from exploring market data and designing features, to implementing models in production and monitoring live performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building robust backtesting frameworks and research tools to support trading strategy development.
  • Designing and implementing predictive models and statistical methods to identify patterns and inefficiencies in markets.
  • Working with large-scale, structured and unstructured financial datasets.
  • Identify data gaps and opportunities, and work with data engineers to improve data availability, quality, and pipeline robustness
  • Promoting best practices in data quality, reproducibility, and model validation.

What We Offer

  • The opportunity to contribute to the firm's trading engine with focus on growth
  • Close collaboration in cross-functional teams with highly skilled professionals
  • A culture grounded in quantitative thinking, curiosity, and experimentation.
  • Ownership and accountability in taking models from research to production
  • A dynamic environment with the freedom to innovate.
  • An inclusive, caring, and psychologically safe workplace where diverse perspectives, ideas, and approaches lead to high performance by an engaged team.

What we are looking for:

  • 2-5 years of experience as a Data Scientist preferably with experience in time-series modelling.
  • Writes clean and efficient Python code (experience with NumPy, pandas/polars, scikit-learn or PyTorch is a plus).
  • Comfortable working with code in a production-oriented environment (version control, code reviews, testing, debugging).
  • Has experience with data-driven problem solving and building ML or statistical models.
  • Understands end-to-end data pipelines and model deployment.
  • Knows their way around SQL for querying and transformations and cloud environments (preferably AWS).
  • Enjoys collaborating with others – from traders to software engineers.
  • Is curious about quantitative trading, time-series modelling, and performance optimization.
  • Can collaborate with data engineers on data pipelines, e.g. specifying data needs, validating transformations, contributing pipeline components.

We value potential over perfect match, and we encourage you to apply even if you don't meet all the above.

Location

We support flexibility in how work is done, but success in this role requires a strong presence in our Aarhus office (4–5 days per week). We operate in English and welcome non-Danish speaking candidates.

Benefits

  • Professional development and clear career growth opportunities.
  • Competitive compensation and employee shares.
  • Good maternity/paternity terms.
  • Modern office environment with a healthy canteen and snacks.
  • Visa support (if needed).

The practical stuff

This position is based in Aarhus, Denmark.

Start date: As soon as possible.
