About the job

PerPlant is a deep-tech startup with the goal of assisting farmers in transitioning to sustainable agriculture through the use of AI and sensor technology. We develop tractor-mounted smart camera systems that enable farmers to monitor their fields in real-time for pest pressure and plant health. This allows farmers to spray only where and when it is needed, reducing chemical costs and minimizing negative impacts on the environment, human health, and biodiversity.

We are now looking for a
Production & Assembly Assistant (Student)
to join our team and help us build our AI-based sensors for smart, precision farming. This is a
hands-on position
focused on assembling, soldering, and preparing our final products for delivery.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is currently pursuing a degree in
    Mechatronics, Robotics, Electronics, or a related field
  • Has
    soldering skills
    and experience handling electrical components
  • Knows how to use a
    multimeter
    and perform basic circuit troubleshooting
  • Is comfortable with
    mechanical assembly
    and the use of common workshop tools
  • Has experience working with different types of adhesives and glues
  • Works with precision, responsibility, and attention to detail

It would be a huge advantage if you also:

  • Understand electronics communication protocols such as
    I2C, UART, etc.
  • Have experience in
    PCB design
    (Altium, KiCAD, or similar)

Tasks you'll be involved in:

  • Soldering and assembling electronic components
  • Mechanical assembly of product housings and mounts
  • Applying adhesives and glues where required
  • Testing and verifying assemblies using standard diagnostic tools
  • Assisting with basic electrical troubleshooting during bring-up and assembly
  • Support final product preparation, inspection, and packaging for delivery
  • Contribute to improving assembly workflows, documentation, and quality processes
