Archon is looking for a DevOps & Security Engineer to design, build and maintain a secure, resilient infrastructure powering next-generation financial and AI systems. You'll lead efforts to automate environments, secure pipelines, and monitor operations across chains and services.

You'll work closely with software engineers and data scientists to ensure our services run smoothly and securely, supporting risk analysis and decision-making in a decentralized finance context.

What You'll Do

  • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and simple rollback.
  • Define environments with Infrastructure-as-Code for consistent staging and production setups.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to track data freshness and latency.
  • Manage secrets and access control securely using KMS or Vault, with clear audit trails.
  • Operate and optimize workloads in AWS, GCP, or Azure; manage networking, IAM, backups, and cost controls.
  • Build multi-RPC provider failover and reliability mechanisms for on-chain and off-chain data feeds
  • Create runbooks for backfills, reindexing, and incident response.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering and data teams to simplify and harden workflows.
  • Prepare the platform for future scale, simulations, and automated execution in both DeFi and TradFi

What You Bring

  • Proven DevOps/SRE experience, ideally in finance, fintech, or other regulated environments.
  • Strong skills in CI/CD, containerization, and Infrastructure-as-Code.
  • Practical experience with monitoring and alerting tools.
  • Solid understanding of security best practices, including secrets management, least-privilege access, and auditability.
  • Ownership mindset with excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a small, distributed team.
  • Experience with incident management and post-incident reviews.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with or curiosity in blockchain or Web3 integrations, including RPCs, subgraphs, or provider failover.
  • Familiarity with job orchestration and cost optimization.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes or cloud scaling in AWS, GCP, or Azure.
