Scope of the Role:

The Area Coordinator will be part of the team responsible for delivering a major Data Centre project in Paris. You will report to the Construction Manager who will set specific goals that align with the overall company and project objectives. Your role is primarily to ensure that the project is constructed in accordance with the scope; schedule and budget as set out in the overall project programme. The Area Coordinator will coordinate and manage all trades within their area.

Given the size and complexity of the project, collaboration across all disciplines and forward planning is key to successful project completion. The Area Coordinator will not only take direction from the Construction Manager but will be required to interact with all discipline and package managers to develop and implement construction plans.

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Work in conjunction with the entire project team to deliver the scope in a collaborative manor.
  • Primary driver on the ground implementing weekly and daily work plans, this is a leading role and a critical requirement to drive productivity.
  • Champion Mercury's Safety implementation on site and at site Safety Leadership meetings.
  • Champion Mercury's Quality focus on site and implement 'Right First Time'
  • Work with all Package Leads, Supervisors and Subcontractors in your area to en-sure that all works are coordinated and executed as per agreed plan.
  • Advanced planning is an essential activity to ensure all works are coordinated, and that work can be carried of safely and productively.
  • Produce and issue weekly reports to management.
  • Adhere to daily and weekly safety reporting requirements.
  • Provide weekly schedule updates: Planned V Actual.
  • Review and implement 4/6week Pull Plan
  • Conduct onsite daily Whiteboard meetings with all subcontract supervisors.
  • Record, communicate and action constraints.
  • Highlight all delays/disruptions to planned activities to ensure risks are con-trolled/mitigated.
  • Coordinate works and handover between the dayshift and nightshift.
  • Manage, record, and allocate General Operatives where required, timesheets to be signed daily.
  • Coordinate with other Area coordinators & managers to ensure resources are work-ing efficiently.
  • Ensure any Subcontractors working in your area are working to the agreed sched-ule and all required safety documentation is in place.
  • Ensure that all trades understand objectives and targets to be achieved week on week.

Essential Criteria for the Role:

  • Strong supervision and coordination experience
  • Fluent in English language
  • PC literate with competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Critical attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Pride in the quality and presentation of work
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Know how and when to delegate
  • Must be organized and be able to demonstrate your strategic and tactical goals for your area.
  • Function as part of a team, work with others in a professional manner.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in Data Centre construction advantageous but not essential
  • Experience using BIM360 field
  • Basic command of the Danish language

Rollens omfang:

Områdekoordinatoren vil være en del af det team, der er ansvarlig for at levere et større datacenterprojekt i Paris. Du vil referere til byggelederen, som vil fastsætte specifikke mål, der stemmer overens med virksomhedens og projektets overordnede mål. Din rolle er primært at sikre, at projektet udføres i overensstemmelse med omfanget, tidsplanen og budgettet som fastsat i det overordnede projektprogram. Områdekoordinatoren koordinerer og styrer alle erhverv inden for sit område.

I betragtning af projektets størrelse og kompleksitet er samarbejde på tværs af alle discipliner og fremadrettet planlægning nøglen til en vellykket projektafslutning. Områdekoordinatoren vil ikke blot modtage instruktioner fra byggelederen, men vil også skulle interagere med alle disciplin- og pakkeansvarlige for at udvikle og implementere byggeplaner.

Rollens ansvar:

  • Arbejd sammen med hele projektteamet for at levere projektet i fællesskab.
  • Den primære drivkraft på stedet er implementering af ugentlige og daglige arbejdsplaner. Dette er en ledende rolle og et afgørende krav for at øge produktiviteten.
  • Implementering af sikkerhed på stedet og ved møder i sikkerhedsledelsen.
  • Champion Mercurys kvalitetsfokus på stedet og implementering af 'rigtig første gang'
  • Arbejd sammen med alle pakkeledere, supervisorer og underleverandører i dit område for at sikre, at alt arbejde koordineres og udføres i henhold til den aftalte plan.
  • Forhåndsplanlægning er en vigtig aktivitet for at sikre, at alt arbejde koordineres, og at arbejdet kan udføres sikkert og produktivt.
  • Udarbejde og udsende ugentlige rapporter til ledelsen.
  • Overhold kravene til daglig og ugentlig sikkerhedsrapportering.
  • Giv ugentlige tidsplanopdateringer: Planlagt vs. Faktisk.
  • Gennemgå og implementer 4/6 ugers pull-plan
  • Afhold daglige whiteboard-møder på stedet med alle underleverandørledere.
  • Registrer, kommuniker og handl i begrænsninger.
  • Fremhæv alle forsinkelser/forstyrrelser i planlagte aktiviteter for at sikre, at risici kontrolleres/afbødes.
  • Koordinere arbejde og overdragelse mellem dag- og nathold.
  • Administrer, registrer og alloker generelle operatører efter behov, og timesedler skal underskrives dagligt.
  • Koordinere med andre områdekoordinatorer og ledere for at sikre, at ressourcerne fungerer effektivt.
