Applications are invited for an academic employee position as plant transformation and gene editing specialist at the Department ofMolecular Biology and Genetics, Aarhus University, Denmark.

This is a permanent position with starting date 1 February 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.
Job description
The work will focus on development and application of plant transformation and gene editing methods. It will involve setting up a core facility for plant transformation and gene editing at the department and contributing to coordinating activities in this field of research at a national level.
Your profile
You have documented experience with plant transformation and gene editing. You are interested in developing and running a core facility servicing plant scientists.
You are able to communicate in English and able to communicate clearly with both core facility users and department management.
Experience with generation of transformed and gene-edited legumes is an advantage.
Who we are
You will be part of a dynamic environment at the Section for Plant Molecular Biology, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, where work is focused on the study of legumes. The research environment is cross-disciplinary with PIs specialized in bioinformatics, biochemistry, microbiology, molecular biology and genetics.
