Associate Manager, Shipping

Your New Role
As Associate Manager for our Shipping team you will lead and develop a team of 3 dedicated employees while being hands-on in the daily activities. You are a person who is excited about being a part of daily order management, planning activities and executing global shipments. Together with a People First mindset who wants to play the team good and take lead in team development.

You will be expected to provide day-to-day professional sparring about shipping & customs matters to the employees, but also to the wider business.

You will drive continuous improvement of our processes and with the team identify optimization and standardization opportunities to ensure our processes are scalable.

The role interacts with many different stakeholders both externally and internally, hence strong stakeholder management and communication skills are a must for success.

Your Primary Tasks Will Be

• Leading and developing the Shipping team
• Optimize logistic processes both for samples and final goods shipments
• Participate in the daily operation, order management and shipping of goods
• Support implementation of new customers and products, ensuring the team can execute the logistics setup around samples and final goods
• Trade Compliance related matters and support of ongoing global development of Trade Compliance program
• Managing the performance of our freight forwarders

Skills & Knowledge, We Hope You Possess

• Proven leadership abilities to manage and advance a team
• Extensive understanding and experience with Shipping
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
• Having worked with SAP especially within the Sales & Deliver module is an advantage
• Previous experience with Trade Compliance is an advantage
• BSc/BA in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or similar
• Knowledge of common customs regulations and rules and GDP

About The Team
The team is responsible for the coordination of final products are shipped in due time and responsible for samples of raw materials and products are shipped to global destinations. All customer orders are managed in the team and in close cooperation with our Customers, the team ensures final products are being shipped in due time. Samples (ambient/cold chain) are shipped in qualified boxes to global destinations to various Contract Laboratories, Customers and Fujifilm Biotechnologies Sites.

Shipping & Customer Service is organizationally anchored in Supply Chain Operations together with Supply Planning and Direct Procurement.
