Core Responsibilities
  • Technical Design: Develop technical designs for new LEGO bricks.

  • CAD Deliverables: Create CAD files and specifications for new LEGO brick designs.

  • Quality Standards: Interpret and implement current quality standards related to functionality, building systems, and product safety.

  • Design for Manufacturing: Ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability.

  • Prototype Testing: Conduct prototype testing to verify material choices, functionality, and product safety.

In Novelty Element Development we develop the LEGO elements of tomorrow in a close and strong collaboration with our main stakeholders. Knowing the capabilities of our moulding and processing platforms we mature and develop the element design into manufacturable LEGO Bricks ready for mass production.

The area of focus is the development of new elements on request from novelty projects. The primary task is to contribute with technical expertise in close collaboration with design and marketing as well as Technical Mould Development and Equipment Development.

Do you have what it takes?
  • Background in Mechanical Engineering either from education or practical experience.

  • 2-5 years in Mechanical/Structural Design; CAD systems and 3D design; molding technology (plastic materials preferred).

  • Strong multitasking and partner management; proactive and dedicated; results-oriented; knowledge of variation and tolerance design.

  • Interest in robust design principles; proven track record of achievements.
