As part of this growth, we are looking to expand our Projects team with an experienced PLM Project Manager to support the increasing demands for our radar systems.

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Project Manager to lead the implementation of our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system (Autodesk Fusion) for high-tech applications across software, hardware, and mechanical engineering domains.

Drive implementation in collaboration with stakeholders

This role is central to driving our digital transformation, aligning cross-functional product development processes, and ensuring successful deployment of the PLM platform. After implementation, the role will/ can transition into PLM Operations & Maintenance, supporting long-term system performance, user adoption, and continuous improvement.

Your primary tasks during the implementation phase will include:

  • Lead the end-to-end implementation of Autodesk Fusion PLM, including planning, execution, training and go-live.
  • Review project scope, deliverables, timelines, and resource needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Software Development, Hardware Engineering, Mechanical Design, Manufacturing, Quality, and IT.
  • Ensure the PLM solution supports multi-domain product structures, workflows, and compliance requirements.
  • Manage vendor relationships and oversee system configuration, integration, and data migration.
  • Facilitate testing, validation, and user training across engineering disciplines.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders and executive sponsors.

Your primary tasks during the operations and maintenance phase will include:

  • Own the PLM system post-implementation, ensuring uptime, performance, and user satisfaction.
  • Act as the central point of contact for PLM-related support, enhancements, and governance.
  • Manage upgrades, patches, and system improvements in collaboration with IT and Autodesk support.
  • Monitor system usage and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support onboarding, training, and documentation for new users and teams.
  • Ensure alignment with evolving business needs and engineering practices.

As all projects involve many different engineering and production disciplines, you will naturally establish a close collaboration with many colleagues across the organization.

Commercial mindset with the ability to succeed through others

We are looking for a colleague with experience, overview, and motivation for leading the implementation of our new PLM system in a project environment with multiple stakeholders. As a person you are self-driven, curious and always a step ahead. Have a strong understanding of product development processes across software, hardware and mechanical domains. This allows you to translate complex engineering requirements into system configurations.

Typically, a successful candidate will have:

  • A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience in managing enterprise software projects, preferably PLM systems such as Autodesk Fusion, Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, or Dassault ENOVIA.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
  • Experience integrating PLM with ERP, CAD, and other enterprise systems.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in system operations, maintenance, and user support.
  • Change management and training experience across technical teams.
