TERMSYour current home employer remains your employer during you the period in which you perform your contribution to the Center.Thus, the employer obligations will remain with your home employer including payment of all compensation, salaries, remuneration and costs owed to you as an employee, as well as any social or employment related taxes and all associated costs and expenses.If you are interested, please reach out to your organization point of contact with the Center. OVERVIEWThis is a fantastic opportunity to apply Human Factors engineering principles & practice to guide the maritime industry in its efforts to prepare for alternative-fuel operations.  You will join the Onboard Vessel Solutions department at MMMCZCS and contribute to/lead research studies related to safety and human factors together with our partners and collaborators.ORGANIZATION AND TEAMChief Technology Officer - Onboard Vessel Solutions > Head of Safety Leadership & Operations > SecondeePRIMARY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Support ideation and scoping of relevant projects with HF expertise inputDevelop and advise on Human Factor considerations that enable safe operations of alternative fuel vesselsInteract closely with partners in and outside the Center to scope projects, manage project activities and leverage Human Factors know howSupport ongoing projects relating to enabling ammonia as a marine fuel, especially contributing to regulatory relevant bodies as IMO in their work towards developing safety regulatory frameworks that support the industry in reaching its decarbonization targets.Deliver professional and structured project execution and reporting outputWHAT GOOD LOOKS LIKEContribute to or lead projects related to area of expertiseUtilize own partner knowhow and resources to drive and contribute to MMMCZCS projectsProject delivery according to project plans and targetsSupport or lead Human Factor related MMMCZCS projects to establish our position on Human Factors and provide industry with relevant guidance on Human Factor considerationsCONTENT KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCES NEEDEDProfessional background as human factors and ergonomics (HF/E) professional and practitioner with a recognized qualificationAccreditation or membership of an HF/E related professional organisation is desirableKnowledge of human factors principles and methodologies, risk management, and system designAbilities to lead projects is desirableAbility to develop, structure and convey technical written information in an effective and impactful manner towards a broad audiencePREFERRED EXPERIENCEExperience from the maritime industry or other high-risk, safety-critical environmentExperience with HF/E engineering or practice from the maritime domain or alternatively other safety critical domainsPractical experience of undertaking HF projects in the workplace, specifically in the control of risks within major hazards industriesExperience of working in multidisciplinary teams, assessing the importance of HF issues alongside other stakeholder's concernsUnderstanding of and practical experience with risk management methodologies and safety core processes incl. RA, MoC, HAZID and HAZOPs is advantageousPERSONALITY AND ATTITUDEHighly motivated. A can-do attitude.
