About The Job
Our team is committed to developing and maintaining our fully converged IP/MPLS network, providing a reliable foundation for the various services that our customers depend on – both now and in the future.

As a Senior Network Engineer with a focus on core network and security, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing the backbone of Denmark's digital infrastructure. You will primarily work with Juniper and Nokia platforms, ensuring stability, scalability, and security across our multi-vendor environment.

Your Responsibilities Will Include, Among Other Things

  • Design, implement, and maintain core routing infrastructure across Juniper, Nokia, and Cisco platforms.
  • Develop and optimize backbone architecture for high availability, scalability, and performance.
  • Implement and manage security controls, including routing security, DDoS protection, ACLs, and encryption mechanisms.
  • Conduct testing and validation of new hardware and software releases in lab environments before production rollout.
  • Collaborate closely with operations and development teams to ensure seamless integration of new features and services.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues affecting core and interconnect services.

About You
The ideal candidate will tick most or all of the following:

  • Extensive knowledge of MPLS, Segment Routing, IS-IS, internet peering, multicast, and traffic engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with Juniper (MX series) and/or Nokia (7750 SR series); Cisco exposure is an advantage.
  • Proven experience with security protocols and best practices in service provider networks (e.g., RPKI, MANRS compliance, DDOS mitigation).
  • Familiarity with automation tools and methodologies (Python, Ansible, Netconf/YANG).
  • Strong documentation and troubleshooting skills, from lab to production.
  • Understanding of transmission technologies (WDM) is a plus.
  • Eligibility for security clearance requires EU citizenship or residence in the EU for at least seven years.
