Harba is a Copenhagen-based startup on a mission to modernize the world of marinas. Our platform helps harbormasters digitize bookings, payments, and customer communication, making life easier for staff and smoother for boaters.

We combine software with hardware integrations such as kiosks, printers, and payment terminals to deliver a seamless harbor management experience.

Today, we're seeing strong commercial traction and are signing some of Denmark's largest marinas every month. As our customer base grows, so does the need for fast, reliable, and scalable technology. That's where you come in.

Tasks

We're looking for a
hands-on Full Stack Developer
who wants to shape a product with real users, real impact, and real hardware attached.

You'll be joining a
small, close-knit team
, working directly with leadership and product to build new features, fix real-world problems, and push code that matters. This is not a "ticket factory" role — you'll have ownership, say in direction, and a front-row seat to Harba's next growth phase.

Even if you're still early in your career and don't have experience with our entire stack, that's okay — what matters most is that you're eager to learn, build, and grow with us. If you're excited about working across both frontend and backend and want real ownership in a fast-moving startup, we'd love to talk.

What you'll do:

  • Build and maintain product features in

    and
    PHP (Symfony)

  • Work with live systems — printer & payment terminal integrations, harbor APIs, and real-time data

  • Debug production issues and ship well-tested, reliable code

  • Collaborate closely with product, support, and leadership in a small, fast-moving team

  • Help transfer knowledge from our current developer to ensure continuity and scalability

  • Contribute to architectural and product discussions — your ideas will shape how we build

The tech stack:

  • Frontend:
    , MobX, JavaScript ES6+

  • Backend:
    PHP with Symfony or Python also relevant)

  • Integrations:
    REST APIs, WebSocket with STOMP, printers, payment hardware

  • Infrastructure:
    Internal APIs, Docker, deployment services, kiosk and terminal setup

Requirements

  • Solid
    JavaScript (ES6+)
    and

    experience

  • Experience with
    backend development
    — ideally
    PHP/Symfony
    or with proven experience of learning fast

  • Comfortable integrating and debugging APIs

  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

  • Based in or near
    Copenhagen
    , able to work on-site at least 3 days per week

Nice-to-Haves or Willingness to Learn

  • MobX for frontend state management

  • Hardware integration (e.g. printers and payment terminals)

  • WebSocket and STOMP protocol familiarity

  • Experience with real-time systems or physical-digital interfaces
