Global Fashion Agenda (GFA) is seeking a Senior Sustainability Manager to lead the development of GFA's publications that guide the fashion industry in advancing key social and environmental priorities. The ideal candidate is a strategic, technically skilled professional with broad sustainability expertise, strong stakeholder management abilities, and excellent writing and project management skills.

This role involves overseeing the end-to-end development of publications, gathering and integrating stakeholder input, and ensuring all outputs are accurate, relevant, and impactful. The Senior Sustainability Manager will also drive innovation in GFA's publication strategy by exploring new formats and approaches, collaborating across internal teams and external partners to deliver high-quality results. They will also support the planning of and represent GFA in industry activities related to publications launches and related activities.

Job Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in report writing/ project management/ stakeholder engagement.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, ideally with courses relating to sustainability. A Masters' degree is considered an advantage.
  • Experience in supply chain analysis and life cycle assessments (LCAs) preferred.
  • Strong understanding of sustainability principles, social and environmental impact assessment methodologies.
  • Holds excellent organisation skills.
  • A solutions-orientated and 'Yes We Can' mentality, optimistic, independent and problem-solving attitude.
  • Fluent in English (speaking and writing).
  • Passion for and understanding of the fashion industry and developments in the sustainability space both socially and environmentally.
  • Strong interpersonal and social skills to interact and engage with various stakeholders, while being diplomatic and energetic with great attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Interest in working in a fast pace, dynamic, challenging and team-oriented work environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and authoring of GFA's core publications, including the 
    Fashion CEO Agenda

    GFA Monitor
    , and thematic reports. In addition, the candidate is expected to lead annual updates to the Fashion CEO Agenda toolkit and Apparel and Footwear Circularity Map.
  • Drive the evolution of GFA's publication strategy by exploring new formats and where relevant complement GFA's Impact Programmes and or broader activities, including the developing of tools and other resources for the industries.
  • Manage and strengthen relationships with key sustainability stakeholders, including Impact Partners and members of the multi-stakeholder network.
  • Develop and implement engagement plans that identify new collaboration and partnership opportunities with knowledge experts.
  • Collaborate across internal teams such as Communications and Public Affairs to ensure consistent messaging, integrated project delivery, and alignment with organisational goals.
  • Represent GFA externally at events, webinars, and industry engagements.
  • Support internal knowledge sharing and collaboration within the Impact Team and across departments.

You will report to the Director of Impact and be part of the GFA Impact team which houses both GFA's publications and Impact Programmes, responsible for initiatives such as the Fashion CEO Agenda, GFA Monitor, Circular Fashion Partnership and Renewable Energy Initiative.
