Senior FP&A Specialist

As Senior FP&A Specialist, you will report to the Director of Business Planning and Data Management and co-lead the financial planning process together with an existing FP&A Specialist. You will ensure accuracy, consistency, and transparency in financial planning and reporting, playing a key role across Fertin and PMI. You will work closely with finance teams across the organisations and support senior management with insights that strengthen decision-making.

You will translate strategy and business needs into a clear and structured planning setup and contribute to developing the way Fertin works with forecasting and reporting. In addition, you will help strengthen reporting tools and solutions, including the development of Power BI dashboards in close collaboration with the Data Management team.

Other tasks include:

  • Consolidate input from Finance Business Partners and affiliates into robust forecasts and budgets
  • Prepare and deliver financial reporting packages to senior management
  • Conduct variance analysis based on business drivers and provide recommendations for corrective actions
  • Support scenario modelling, sensitivity analysis, and ad hoc financial analysis
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across planning cycles and systems in both Fertin and PMI
  • Contribute to the development of Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions in collaboration with the Data Management team

Experience with FP&A, forecasting and stakeholder alignment

To be successful in the role, you have 3 to 5 years of experience in FP&A or similar roles, preferably from an international environment, where your primary focus has been FP&A-related tasks. You bring proven experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, and you are used to working in structured planning processes while continuously improving ways of working and execution quality. Experience from FMCG manufacturing or the CMO/CDMO sector is considered a plus.

Ideally, you have experience acting as a financial sparring partner across an organisation, for example towards business controlling, local finance managers in affiliates or subsidiaries, and stakeholders at multiple levels s well as at owner level. You have a strategic and analytical mindset, enabling you to connect financial outcomes to underlying business drivers and long-term goals, while maintaining a strong business orientation and the ability to challenge assumptions constructively.

Advanced Excel, reporting tools and communication skills

You hold a Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

We expect you to have strong Excel skills, as much of the modelling and consolidation work is Excel-based, as well as the ability and experience to present results and analyses clearly and visually in PowerPoint. You also have advanced IT skills within finance-related systems and tools, such as consolidator tools and Power BI, and experience with SAP would be an advantage, but is not a requirement.

As a person, you demonstrate high cognitive ability to understand business complexity and you are robust and resilient, able to handle pressure, complexity, shifting priorities and tight deadlines. You have strong process management skills and the ability to challenge the status quo. You are proactive and self-driven, taking initiative to improve processes and solve problems independently, and you maintain a high attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency in deliverables.

You communicate clearly and confidently, translating complex financial insights into concise messages for stakeholders at all levels. Finally, you are collaborative, building strong relationships across teams and geographies to ensure alignment and shared ownership.

You have strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effortlessly in written and spoken English and live no more than an hour's drive from the workplace in Vejle.
