Fire Engineer – Strategic Projects

Why this role matters

We're expanding our Hillerød site with multi-billion DKK investments to double capacity and add fill-finish. As Fire Engineer for Strategic Projects, you'll be the go-to specialist ensuring our fire safety vision is consistently delivered, compliant, and future-ready across complex, fast-moving programs.

What you'll do

• Own the fire safety strategy across strategic projects—from early design through testing, commissioning, and handover—aligned with FLBD standards and operations.
• Act as the primary liaison between project teams and the FLBD fire safety team, driving clear decisions and timely outcomes.
• Coordinate and integrate fire safety requirements early in design to enable compliant, efficient solutions.
• Represent FLBD with authorities having jurisdiction, ensuring accurate, professional engagement.
• Oversee documentation, testing, and acceptance to meet operational and regulatory expectations.
• Review and enhance FLBD fire safety strategies against relevant codes, standards, and best practices.
• Serve as designated system owner; contribute to design/re-design activities and risk assessments.
• Lead or contribute to cross-functional initiatives and project leadership assignments aligned with FLBD's technical and operational goals.

What you'll bring

• CFPA certification, Accredited Inspector, and/or Fire Consultant BK2 or BK3 (or equivalent), with hands-on fire engineering experience.
• 5+ years in one or more: fire inspection, building permit/occupancy processes, accreditation/inspection of fire systems.
• Strong command of applicable fire safety codes, standards, and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent understanding of fire protection and detection technologies and integration into building operations.
• Proven project management skills in complex, fast-paced environments.
• Strong communication skills in Danish and English, with the ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders.
