Omics Scientist

and
Customer Consultant.

The job description

We are seeking a new colleague to join us in supporting scientists from various industries, including pharmaceutical, biotech, food technology, and academia, in their omics research projects.

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual with a passion for Omics and customer consulting. The job requires you have experience within
transcriptomics.

Covering everything including knowledge about sample requirements, different approaches for sample analysis and to experience analysing the data. You also need to be experienced R user, as the work include execution, optimization and development of analytical pipelines in R (and python). If you have experience with
single cell transcriptomics

, please highlight and elaborate on this in your application.

The role includes regular client meetings, where you will help identify needs, present suitable analysis strategies, and guide customers toward a decision. You should be motivated to grow in a role that combines scientific expertise with structured client dialogue and responsibility for incoming projects.

Your work will primarily consist of consulting and analysing omics data.

Your primary tasks will include:

• Customer Communication
• Communication with Subcontractors
• Participation in scientific discussions
• Bioinformatics support
• Analysis of customer data
• Staying à jour with the latest trends within omics

Our expectations of you

To be considered for this position, you should hold an
MSc

or
Ph.D.

in a relevant field such as
biotechnology

,
molecular biology

, or
bioinformatics

. You shall be comfortable working independently and as a part of a team and should have excellent organizational skills, as you will be a part of multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in English is also necessary, as Biogenity operates in the global market, and English is the main language used in the office.

You should be motivated to develop your skills in scientific consultation and sales, including structured dialogue and client relationship management.
No prior experience in sales

is required – what matters most is your motivation to grow into a customer-facing role and your willingness to learn.

An introduction to Biogenity

Biogenity is Contract Research Organization specializing in various life science research and discovery fields in diagnostics and therapeutics. Our mission is to assist omics-based discovery by empowering researchers with our expertise to get the most out of the omics analysis.

Today, Biogenity has a series of omics fee-for-service. Here, we offer research analysis to identify, list, and characterize proteomes, metabolomes, and transcriptomes. 

The position is a full-time role (funktionæransættelse) with a weekly requirement of 37 hours. It is set to begin in
January, 2025
