Test & Verification Surveyor

Job Summary:

Based in Slangerup (Copenhagen, Denmark), you will have a very independent and challenging

job to test and verify new systems under development. We perform significant testing at bench and in tanks, but the final testing of products always takes place on a T&V boat under the supervision of a Senior Hydrographer. This is a job where you will be challenged for providing good solid feedback and results on testing experience, and in many occasions you will have the final word on a product being ready to go to market, hence it is a major responsibility to be confident when evaluating that a product actually meets the high standards expected as a

Teledyne product and from the customer base in terms of data quality and performance.

Despite the high expectations, you can expect that this will come gradually over an introduction

period, and it is a position you can grow in to over some time. You will enter a very steep learning curve when working close with the core R&D team, and you will get a very unique and thorough insight to the technology behind a multibeam system and other acoustic systems, hence we are looking for a person with a good starting point in terms of some years of industry experience – and a keen interest in technology, a passion for the hydrographic industry and desire to go deep into this domain of acoustic measurement systems.

You shall expect around 100 days at sea on the T&V Boat. It requires solid work methodology and the ability to work independently to progress through a T&V schedule. Some T&V activities will

be performed together with developers or innovation team members, while others will be carried out alone. We test our products rigorously before releasing them to market, and the final testing phase includes "Beta customers" acting as a user representative in close collaboration with the T&V function and one of the Product Managers.

In addition to the T&V work, we occasionally invite key accounts and customers onboard for

product demonstrations, or we may have industry partners joining T&V activities as part of

collaboration projects.

Responsibilities/Activities:

Test and verification (sea test, functional test) for new products, features or upgrades

Reporting on T&V activities to R&D, writing product readiness reports, documenting

performance

Managing the T&V Boat, being ready, tidy, suitable for customer/partner visits etc.

Close interaction and coordination with R&D, Innovation Team and Product Managers

Coordinating and managing Beta testers, meeting with beta clients during trials

Ad-hoc: Perform demo activities for customers, participating in demo events at exhibitions

Ad-hoc: Participation in various project work related to R&D, Product Management etc.

Ad-hoc: T&V trips to other regions, with partners/customers at facilities

Job Requirements:

Analytical and methodical person with an eye for details and quality

Fluency in English, both oral and written communication

Hydrographic education and experience from the field as a user/operator

Experience from using different types/manufacturers of echosounders and software

Applicants must be eligible to work in Denmark
