Job Description
Are you interested in developing and strengthening our mainframe storage setup, and like questioning the status quo for the benefit of Danske Bank and its customers? Then join our platform team and become our new Storage Engineer.
We are a global team responsible for building, configuring and maintaining Danske Bank's mainframe infrastructure. Currently we are running the largest parallel SysPlex in the Nordic region. Our primary design goals are service availability and efficiency, underpinned by the architectural principle of cloned infrastructure, system configurations and applications
We are looking for you as a skilled Mainframe Storage Engineer profile who will be part of a global team located in Denmark and India responsible for building, running and supporting our technical teams as well as the development areas on both day-to-day operations as well as strategic discussions and decisions.
We have high focus on automation and resilience and use some of the most modern software and hardware solutions for mainframe storage with a heavy focus on DORA related activities like disaster recovery activities and Logical Corruption Protection.
The position is in Denmark and is available in both Aarhus and Copenhagen.
The Role
As our Mainframe Storage Engineer, you will be a subject matter expert, developing and maintaining storage solutions and definitions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Storage architecture and design.
- Storage administration (disk and tape)
- The role requires good communication skills and cross-border collaboration.
- Continuously improving storage efficiency by further automate and ensure high quality in our storage setup
- Implementing and maintaining a resilient storage setup
Experience
- 5+ years of work experience as a mainframe storage engineer with strong knowledge on IBM disk and tape.
- Strong skills in IBM Mainframe software, storage tools and IBM GDPS solution.
- Good English communication skills
