Company Description
With more than 3,000 employees in Denmark, Deloitte is part of a globally leading professional services firm. We deliver tailored solutions across Transformations, Technology, Financial Advisory Services, Enterprise Risk Services, Tax, and Audit.
You will join Deloitte's evolving HR Strategy & Technology (HRST) practice, where we are seeking a Manager or Senior Manager (level to be assessed based on experience and profile) to lead and expand our payroll advisory services. This role goes beyond delivery — it involves building a practice, developing talent, and creating market-leading solutions that address the changing payroll landscape.
You will collaborate with high-performing colleagues in a dynamic, fast-growing team and work with clients across Denmark, the Nordics, and globally. This is a unique opportunity to combine deep payroll expertise, strategic consulting, and entrepreneurial leadership to create lasting impact for both clients and Deloitte.
Success in this role requires a thorough understanding of payroll advisory, strong leadership in project execution, and the ability to build long-term client relationships based on trust and value creation. By delivering impactful solutions and driving meaningful business outcomes, you will help position Deloitte as the premier partner for payroll transformation.

What work will you be doing?
This role is ideal for someone with strong payroll transformation experience, consulting skills, and a passion for building something new. You will work with high-impact clients, shape future-ready payroll strategies, and be part of a dynamic, growing team.
In this role, you will make an impact by:
- Leading payroll transformation initiatives that deliver meaningful, lasting change by ensuring payroll systems are efficient and compliant.
- Defining and growing Deloitte HRST's payroll advisory offering, shaping it from within to support expansion and enhancement.
- Collaborating within a diverse and energetic team experienced in large-scale end-to-end HR transformations, from strategy to digital advisory and implementation.
- Embracing a steep learning curve with significant growth potential, combining strategic thinking, project delivery, and leadership development.
- Enjoying flexibility and trust to shape your approach and make impactful decisions alongside the HR Transformation Senior Leadership Team.
Qualifications
Who we are looking for?

You have the following skills and experience:
1. Payroll Expertise
- 4-6+ years of experience with payroll operating models from both business and technology perspectives.
- Experience engaging with both strategic and operational payroll aspects.
- Proven track record in delivering or advising on payroll transformation programmes (e.g. operating model redesign, systems implementation, vendor transitions).
- Experience working with payroll vendors (technical providers, ICPs) and managing RFP/RFI processes.
- Knowledge of compliance, regulation, and international payroll considerations (e.g. time & absence rules).
- Awareness of international payroll systems and their operational impacts.
2. Consulting Skills
- Solid consulting and advisory experience e.g. in HR, finance, or technology consulting.
- Ability to shape projects collaboratively with clients, incl. scoping, estimating and commercials considerations.

- Clear and confident communication skills; able to distill complexity into actionable insights.
- Comfortable managing senior stakeholders and presenting to executive audiences.
- Experience working across functional areas and geographies.
3. Practice & Team Building
- A proactive mindset and passion for building something new within an established practice.
- Experience developing thought leadership, tools, or go-to-market materials.
- Desire to grow Deloitte's market presence in payroll advisory and contribute to business development.
Ability to mentor, coach, and develop junior team members by creating followership.
Even if you do not see yourself in all the bullets above, we encourage you to apply if you believe your skills can contribute to our team's success.
