About your workplace
Define and implement category and sales strategy to sustainably grow the Outdoor Cooking (OC) category, increase market share and ensure premium presence at the POS.Taking full ownership of the OC category and sales across all channels, enabling channels to achieve sales targets and objectives, and developing them to deliver excellent results and to prepare their future steps within the OC category.
Create a new distribution network for OC, work closely with key accounts and large individual partners and build robust relationships
Overall objective/Purpose of position
- Define and implement category and sales strategy to sustainably grow the Outdoor Cooking (OC) category, increase market share and ensure premium presence at the Point Of Sales.
- Taking full ownership of the Outdoor Cooking (OC) category and sales across all channels, enabling channels to achieve sales targets and objectives, and developing them to deliver excellent results and to prepare their future steps within the OC category.
- Create a new distribution network for OC, work closely with key accounts and large individual partners and build robust relationships
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business strategy for OC in the Nordic region
- Ensure strong brand presence and market positioning
- You will be the pioneer in this field and kick off the OC business success as a sole contributor. In the long term perspective you will lead a high-performing cross-functional matrix team to achieve revenue and growth targets
- Define, implement, and continuously optimize sales and marketing processes for OC
- Identify and unlock new business opportunities, including developing partnerships with retailers, architects, influencers, and other relevant stakeholders
- Manage budgets and optimize resources to maximize profitability
- Monitor regional markets and derive market forecasts
- Act as the central contact for OC in the Nordics and collaborate closely with all internal and external stakeholders
Strategy & Portofolio
- Take joint ownership and responsibility, with the Sales Director, for maximizing sales opportunities within all channels, looking for ways to increase Miele's share within all appropriate channels whilst respecting the brand values and the strategic priorities.
- Have a strategic view with the team on the trade channels that will secure the future of the Miele brand in line with our vision and the overall growth ambitions.
- Manage the OC-Channel strategy, building strong and lasting relationships with all stakeholders.
What success will look like in two years/Desired outcome
- Miele OC is well established within the Nordic market. The Miele brand is displayed and marketed in a consistent and premium manner in line with the brand values
- A continuously growing network of OC partners make sure that we are on track to become the most desirable brand in the luxury grill segment

Competencies/Skills for position
- Bachelor/Master (Marketing, Business Administration or of a comparable study program)
- 7+ years of leadership experience in sales, business development and category management. At least some of these years from driving a Nordic business.
- Excellent relationship building and networking skills, demonstrated ability to seek out and establish networking opportunities
- Experience from within the grill- or outdoor industry, alternatively in the high-end retail industry, is preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication in local language and English
- Willingness to travel within the Nordic region to visit partners, and also internationally when required
