Labelling Technical Specialist – ERP and Label Management System Integration

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and technically skilled labelling expert to support the development and implementation of Novonesis ' future Label Management System . The role will collaborate closely with our Labelling Process Owner to secure a scalable and robust solution from both an organizational and IT architectural perspective. The role will have a major influence i n defining, implemen ting and managing of the technical design framework of Novonesis ' many label formats and designs .

During the project phase, the Labelling Technical Specialist will contribute in cross-functional workshops by data mapping , defining requirements , designing data models , testing and approving system features.

Post-implementation, the role will support the Novonesis Label Strategy Framework alongside the Global Labelling Process Owner, by driving and promoting the best practices , troubleshoot intermediate/advanced user challenges, and continuously develop the solution to our growing labelling needs. Including system rollout across sites and divisions , and global harmonization work.

As the Labelling Technical Specialist you will be collaborating closely with our Production, Supply Chain, Regulatory, IT and Commercial o rganizations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Development of Interfaces Between SAP S/4 HANA and Loftware Cloud

• Design, build, and test interfaces between SAP S/4 HANA and Loftware Cloud Label System , including requirement setting for middleware tools like Boomi .

• Define and manage the data model required for multiple label formats, ensuring accurate and efficient data flow between systems.

• Configure and optimize the Loftware Cloud platform to handle label printing triggered from SAP S/4 HANA.

2. Participation in Workshops and Requirements Gathering

• Actively participate in workshops to enable effective communication between SAP, Loftware Cloud, and middleware systems.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze technical requirements for label integration and printing workflows.

• Support the alignment of business and technical requirements across global teams.

3. Stakeholder Alignment and Communication

• Liaise between the Production , Supply Chain , IT Enterprise , and technical teams (SAP S/4 HANA, Boomi, and Loftware developers) to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables.

• Work closely with the Global Label ling Process Owner to align strategic priorities and ensure timely delivery.

4. Development and Testing

• Develop, configure, and test data interfaces to ensure seamless communication and data exchange between systems.

• Drive the design and configuration of label templates in collaboration with technical label developers .

• Facilitate functional and user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate the solution's performance and adherence to requirements.

5. Project Participation and Delivery

• Contribute to the end-to-end development project, from initial design to final go-live and roll-out.

• Provide ongoing support during the implementation phase, troubleshooting issues and ensuring successful system delivery.

• Transition to supporting system rollouts to additional sites and divisions globally.

6. Future Label Strategy and Harmonization

• Support the company's future global label l ing strategy , focusing on label harmonization across divisions and meeting evolving global regulatory requirements.

• Assist in identifying opportunities to standardize label formats, processes, and systems for improved efficiency and compliance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in process analysis in the label design and template practi c es , including translating cross-functional requirements.

• Expertise in developing a n d working with validated IT systems .

• Hands-on experience with data model l ing and managing data flows for multi-format label creation.

• Strong understanding of SAP processes , including label printing triggers, master data management, and data integration.

• Experience in operating and working in cloud-based labe l ling systems (e.g., Loftware or similar platforms).

• Proven track record in cross-functional collaboration, in particular commercial, IT and regulatory departments.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Experience in developing and executing testing strategies, including UAT and functional testing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in global label harmonization projects and familiarity with regulatory requirements for labelling in manufacturing or logistics environments.

• Prior involvement in large-scale SAP implementations or digital transformation initiatives.

• Knowledge of agile and waterfall project methodologies.

• Certification in SAP S/4 HANA or related modules, along with expertise in Loftware Cloud, is a plus.

• Understanding in middleware tools such as Boomi or similar integration platforms.

• Understanding in data modelling best practices .
