Student Assistant Positions in Medical Robotics – DANARC Project
The Medical Robotics Group is looking for 1 motivated student assistant to join our team and contribute to the DANARC project.
Cardiovascular diseases are the leading global cause of death, resulting in over 12,000 deaths annually in Denmark. Echocardiography is a key first-line diagnostic tool, however, growing demand, workforce shortages, and an ageing population have created capacity bottlenecks and long waiting times, delaying diagnosis and treatment. DANARC aims to overcome these challenges by developing a medical robotic system capable of autonomously performing standard echocardiography.
Your primary tasks will include:
- Setup annotation platform for labelling Echocardiography videos.
- Supporting data collection and processing.
- Test diffusion model to generate ultrasound data.
We expect that you:
- Are solution-oriented and proactive;
- Take responsibility for assigned tasks and ensure timely follow-up;
- Can communicate effectively in English;
- Have a positive and collaborative approach to teamwork;
- Have a background or strong interest in robotic control and deep learning.
We offer:
- Workplace located in Odense;
- Approximately 8-14 hours per week;

Experience working with medical imaging and anatomical knowledge about the heart is considered an advantage. The job would last until the end of June 2026.

Please note, the selected candidate as Student Assistant or Academic Supervisor must be enrolled as student at SDU.
Employment shall take place in accordance with the framework agreement between the Ministry of Finance and PROSA.
In case you have not yet had an examination at SDU, the enrollment confirmation instead of the exam transcript must be annexed your application.
