We are responsible for all procurement activities across Vestas, driving excellence through strategic sourcing, supplier partnerships, and cross-functional collaboration.Our key responsibilities include:Leading and co-leading cross-functional module teamsDeveloping and implementing module strategiesDriving negotiations and value creation initiativesManaging supplier accounts and long-term partnershipsThe Direct Materials Procurement department operates within a global matrix organization and oversees the procurement of all direct materials that support Vestas' worldwide product portfolio.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute the Global Commodity Strategy to ensure an optimal procurement setup for Main Bearings, Generators, and Lubrication SystemsLead supplier negotiations to secure the best commercial terms and long-term value for VestasManage procurement activities within cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with stakeholders across commercial, technical, and operational areas — including costing, new product introductions, and supplier performanceOversee supplier lifecycle management, including selection, qualification, contracting, and relationship management, supported by clear account plans and strategiesDrive supplier consolidation and supply chain optimization initiatives to achieve total landed cost efficiency and strategic alignmentAct as Procurement Lead on cross-functional projects and cost-out programs, collaborating closely with engineering, quality, and operations teamsEnsure timely delivery of all procurement deliverables for new product introductions and manage contracts such as NDAs, Purchase Agreements, and Price AgreementsQualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field and minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar procurement or sourcing roleDemonstrated experience in leading negotiations and developing procurement commodity strategiesProven track record of managing complex commodities or high-value spend categoriesStrong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage and align with multiple stakeholders across functionsProficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with SAP and SAP Ariba is beneficialFluency in English, both written and verbalCompetenciesWe are looking for a candidate who demonstrates the following competencies and personal attributes:Highly motivated to take initiative, with strong focus and persistence in driving implementationSkilled in problem-solving and adept at making sound, data-driven decisionsCapable of leading change and positively influencing others across the organizationSeeks excellence with a creative and self-motivated approach to accomplishing goalsWorks effectively in teams and aligns actions with organizational valuesMaintains a hands-on attitude and an openness to new perspectives and ideasMotivated to explore new possibilities and contribute to continuous improvementWhat we offerWe offer an exciting and challenging role in a global leader within sustainable energy solutions.
