JOB PURPOSE

As a business analyst you will be a member of the team supporting the strategic projects for Palmetto State Armory. You will be involved in supporting strategic business initiatives, performing analysis of business processes, documenting requirements, mapping business process flows, and other duties as required. Business analyst skills, project management and a strong technical understanding of business systems will be key factors of success in this position. Work may also include other duties associated with completing projects or developing business processes and other duties as needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work at the ground level with key business units to identify process issues.
• Define requirements to solve business problems with software changes or custom development.
• Breakdown requirements for developers and ensure requirements are clearly communicated.
• Test newly developed software features and coordinate the release into production.
• Assist with establishing project management processes throughout the company.
• Document business processes and prepare data for analysis.
• Analyze business processes and develop process solutions.
• Communicate with management and other key stakeholders on project progress. 
• All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications include:

• 4-year degree or equivalent business experience 
• At least 2 years of experience in performing technical business analysis.
• Understanding of IT and experience with software implementation projects
• Knowledge of project management processes
• Experience with the software development process and software development best practices
• Strong communication skills
• Experience with creating technical documentation and mapping business processes.
• Ability to work with teams and share responsibility.
• NetSuite knowledge a plus

WORKING CONDITIONS

Occasionally additional hours may be optional or mandatory to complete essential tasks.   All work is performed within an office environment with occasional warehouse and manufacturing exposure.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Business Analyst will have to spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers.  Worker may be required to lift objects weighing from less than 20lbs to 40lbs on rare occasion.  May also be required to occasionally walk and stand for long periods.
