We are seeking a hands-on Production Manager that takes the lead on optimizing workflows, production processes and the efficient operation of a complex international supply chain.

Polyteknik AS is a Danish PVD systems manufacturer with an innovative and best service approach. With more than 30 years in business, a global reference list, and an excellent platform of technology, Polyteknik AS has proved to be an appreciated partner in the Semiconductor industry. For this newly established position, we are looking for a Production Manager with solid leadership experience and a strong operational understanding to take overall responsibility for the operational side of our production of PVD systems.

As Production Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operational performance across the PVD systems production flow, report directly to the CEO and be a member of the executive management. This includes responsibility for a project based production of customized PVD systems, logistics, procurement, and production follow-up. You will lead a group of six team leaders, acting as the link between strategy and execution.

Primary tasks and responsibilities

  • Focus on optimising the production, internal processs flows, the supply chain, and also contribute to the overall development of Polyteknik
  • Define the appropriate operational production planning and KPIs, ensure their effective implementation and follow-up
  • People management with a focus on motivation, well-being, and delivery performance
  • Strategy, analysis, and development of the PVD systems production flow from the release of BOMs to purchase, logistics, CNC part production, parts assembly and assembly of systems
  • Identify and prioritize strategic change areas within the supply chain
  • Take on the responsibility of the most critical initiatives at both customer project and organisational level
  • Ongoing dialogue with Sales, Purchase, and Project Office regarding the pipeline and project prioritization
  • Support overall planning and coordination between departments within production and across the entire organization

You are more passionate about building equipment for highly advanced industries, than leading a traditional production line. On-site presence is expected in order to be hands-on on the production.

Polyteknik AS is not a traditional manufacturing company, and the complexity lies in the logistical management of producing highly sophisticated PVD systems spanning 9–12 months, that must be delivered in a way that perfectly balances cost efficiency with the customer's needs. It is crucial that you can coordinate closely with Sales and Project Office to prioritize, plan, and deliver with high precision.

Your profile

  • A degree in Production Engineering or similar
  • Solid experience as a Production Manager, COO, VP/Supply Chain Director, Operations Director, or a similar leadership position in a medium-sized or project production based company
  • Solid experience in leading team leaders and in being part of the company's top executive management team
  • Experienced in operating and navigating within a production setup with demands for managing production teams, procurement, delivery reliability, and internal/external logistics
  • Experience with continuous improvement programs
  • Significant strategic insight and experience
  • Strong competencies within IT and fluent in Danish as well as English

Your leadership style is rooted in integrity, professionalism, and value-based leadership with respect for colleagues, who you meet at eye level. You have a structured working style and analytical mindset and are a skilled communicator both internally and externally.

You will take on a highly central role in an ambitious company at the centre of the fast expanding international Semiconductor industry.
