Engineering Manager

Allerød Municipality Capital Region of, Denmark Weibel Scientific Full time

Do you have experience leading highly skilled technical teams, and do you want to be part of a world‑leading, technology‑driven company?

If you bring solid Systems Engineering expertise, strong hands‑on leadership skills, and a genuine passion for developing advanced technology, then this opportunity is for you.

At Weibel, you will join a rapidly growing, family‑owned technology company where curiosity, innovation, and dedication form the foundation of our success. As our new Engineering Manager for Systems Engineering, you will play a key role in shaping the architecture, processes, and capabilities behind our next-generation radar solutions. You will work alongside talented, committed colleagues who share a deep fascination for technology.

Our systems encompass a broad set of engineering disciplines—including signal processing, embedded control, RF systems, electronics, and mechanical integration. Creating optimal system solutions therefore requires close collaboration among domain experts to balance trade-offs, mitigate risks, and ensure system‑level consistency.

About the role

Your primary responsibility will be to support, develop, and enable our Systems Engineering team. The team is responsible for defining system architecture, ensuring end‑to‑end system performance, and securing coherence across hardware, software, and subsystem interfaces within Weibel's advanced radar portfolio.

Together with your team of System Engineers, you will drive the definition, documentation, and execution of system architectures in strong collaboration with project managers, domain engineering teams, and production.

Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Leading, motivating, and developing a high‑performing team.
  • Setting goals, priorities, and direction—especially for long‑term systems development outside of customer project deliveries.
  • Driving cross-functional collaboration across engineering disciplines, production, and project management.
  • Managing and continuously improving the Systems Engineering framework, methods, and toolchain (e.g., requirements management, modeling, configuration structures).
  • Ensuring high-quality system documentation, specifications, and architectural descriptions.
  • Contributing to competency development and capability building within Systems Engineering.
  • Supporting system-level reviews, risk assessments, and design trade-off decision-making.

About you

You hold an engineering degree within systems engineering, electronics, physics, software, or a related technical field. Over your career, you have gained experience with complex, high‑performance technology systems, preferably within aerospace, defense, sensing, or embedded systems.

To succeed, you must be able to maintain a clear overview of team capacity, competencies, and task execution. You are skilled at stakeholder management in a matrix organization and excel at working across multiple engineering disciplines and organizational layers.

You bring an effective leadership toolbox with strong people management and change management capabilities enabling you to build, motivate, and develop a growing team.

Your technical experience covers several of the following areas:

  • Systems engineering methodologies and frameworks (e.g., requirements engineering, Product Line Engineering, INCOSE)
  • MBSE, system modeling, or system decomposition
  • High‑performance embedded or electronic systems
  • Regulatory, environmental, and compliance frameworks (CE requirements, preferably MIL‑spec)

Contact and Application

The application deadline is January 25th, 2026.

Please note that this position requires a clean criminal record and the ability to obtain a security clearance.
