The Team

As part of GEA Process Engineering A/S, you will be joining the Automation Execution team, with responsibility for software development, project engineering, project management and process control commissioning. As part of a matrix organization, the team works closely with the divisions responsible for drying technology, fluid bed, spray and freeze drying of food, dairy, pharmaceutical and chemical products. You and the group will be working across the organisation on deliveries.

In this role, you'll get to do what you love: engineer, design, and drive the project management of automation solutions for process plants. As the main point of contact for the project leads, you will have the incredible opportunity to deliver the entire automation solution—both hardware and software.

Primarily responsibilities:

• Programming SCADA, PLC
• Conducting workshops tests (FAT) and on-site tests (SAT)
• Participating in commissioning and troubleshooting with subcontractors and customers
• Preparing necessary documentation
• Developing and maintaining standard concepts and tools
• Taking responsibility for all technical decisions, execution of the contract scope and process integrity

You work with colleagues and clients with leading brands around the world, and the international aspect will take you travelling approximately 50-60 days a year. Your report to Director - Automation Execution.

Your Talent

You have relevant education and several years of experience and an understanding of industrial automation in the process industry. You are passionate and curious about technology and possess a focused and analytic drive to proactively seek solutions when faced with challenges. You thrive when you go into technical details, have a structured way of working, and do not mind giving a helping hand to colleagues. This means that you can interact, communicate and present complex information to both specialists as well as non-technical colleagues and stakeholders.

Furthermore, you bring this to the role:

• Flexibility as you work both in Denmark and up to 60 days per year on-site internationally
• Strong knowledge of programming and related tasks in electrical systems and automation
• Know-how of Scada, PLC systems (Siemens, Allan Bradley) Virtual Machines, SQL database, S88 or the like
• GMP/pharma knowledge is an advantage for one of the positions
• Are used to working P & IDs and functional descriptions
• Interest in designing automation solutions for process plants, including documentation
• Know that high-quality technical documentation is a key part of developing solutions especially when working with clients in the pharmaceutical industry
• In dept understanding of ATEX regulation and hazardous area equipment
• English proficiency and preferably also Danish skills
• Flexible mobility advantageous as projects are often away from office and home

You are used to collaborating internationally and have strong communication skills that secure a smooth development process. On a personal note, you are a true team player with a positive and flexible mindset, who understands how to reach joint project goals.

You have a proactive mind-set and a constructive attitude to drive progress combined with the ability to plan, execute, and meet deadlines. You are used to working with multiple tasks at the same time and are analytical and capable of digesting complex data without losing the overall picture.
