"You will lead a highly skilled team, who is one of the key players in new product development projects, and become a vital contribution to Coloplast's growth ambition, by delivering cutting-edge production machinery for both new and established products," says Senior Director, Global Commissioning, Chi Nguyen.

Join Coloplast and our Global Commissioning team

As head of the Danish team at our headquarter in Humlebæk, you will lead a team of 16 professionals, consisting of 12 project managers and 4 specialists. Your team's main responsibility is to lead production machine projects for new product launches in a dynamic environment. This includes working closely with pilots and/or suppliers on process development (P-URS), defining machine specifications (URS), and overseeing the entire life cycle from early concepting, supplier selection, design freeze to testing and qualification of the machines.

You will also become part of the Global Commissioning Business team, which in addition to you consists of 1 fellow leader in Hungary and 3 Portfolio Managers, who all report directly to the Senior Director of Global Commissioning. At the same time, you will also join the extended leadership team headed by the VP of Global Engineering.

"To support new launches and be a valued and reliable partner, Global Commissioning is setting a new direction for our production machinery to secure long term operational excellence. You will have a unique chance to be part of defining the Machine Plan 2030, together with a team of Portfolio Managers and Senior Project Managers, and embark on a journey towards new direction for our production machinery, where lead time and scalability will be in focus as well as bringing resilience, robust design, and sustainability into volume productions," says Chi.

Lead, motivate and develop

As head of the team, you will lead, motivate, and develop each individual as well as the team as a whole. Doing so, you will focus on supporting the project managers in applying best project management practices while also keeping track of the team's projects, facilitating and driving the team towards the organizational needs and demands.

Moreover, you will support the project managers in handling diverse stakeholder requirements, enabling them to deliver most value in their projects as well as to maintain the good relationship with the stakeholders, e.g., International Manufacturing sites, Supply Chain, Procurement, Pilot Plant and Ramp Up.

It is important that you are able to act as a sounding board to stakeholders and team members and have the ability to quickly switch gears, as this enables you to move into solution mode whenever necessary and explain next steps to help your team or other stakeholders see new paths ahead.

Furthermore, your main tasks will be to ensure:

  • Team and employee development
  • Right prioritisation and allocation of resources
  • The projects your team run is scoped, aligned and delivered on time, within budget and with high quality
  • Collaboration with the 3 portfolio managers and the Head of Commissioning in Hungary guiding and supporting the Project Managers to success
  • The Project status system is correctly updated by the Project Managers
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement initiatives within the Global Commissioning process and the processes that interact with other functions.

We expect our new manager to be willing to embrace a dynamic and flexible everyday life with up to 20 days of travel per year to suppliers and on our international sites.

To be a success in the role, we imagine that you:
