In order to expand the Centre for Visual Data Science , the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Southern Denmark, Odense, invites applications for a Postdoc position in Computer Science with a focus on visual data science. An ideal candidate has a solid education in computer science, data science or applied mathematics as well as demonstrated research experience in one of the following topics:extended reality (virtual reality, augmented reality)human-computer interactioncomputer visionThe capability to successfully conduct research projects in interdisciplinary collaborations with domain experts in the humanities, social sciences, biology, or health is perceived as a fundamental skill for employment at the Centre for Visual Data Science. Fluency in English and Python are required.The successful candidate will be based in Odense, under the primary supervision of Prof. Stefan Jänicke. Extension may be possible depending on available funding. (no more than 4 years at the same university)Appointment to the position will be in accordance with the collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations for academics in the state with the associated circular on the protocol for the job structure for academic staff at Danish universities and the provisions for postdoc as described herein.
