Retail Planning at ILLUM

We're looking for a new team member to join our Merchandising team at ILLUM for the Beauty category. This is a great opportunity for someone who is organized, analytical, and eager to learn. You don't need years of experience — just a strong interest in retail, a structured mindset, and a willingness to grow.

The Merchandising team (also known as the Planning team) acts as the bridge between our buyers and the sales floor. Our goal is to ensure that the right products are in the right place at the right time — helping to create the best possible shopping experience while supporting business performance.

What You'll Be Doing

As part of the team, you'll get hands-on experience with a variety of tasks, including:

  • Supporting buyer in planning product ranges
  • Participating in buying meetings and supplier interactions
  • Creating and updating purchase orders
  • Assisting with budget planning and tracking
  • Analysing sales and stock data to support decision-making
  • Managing stock levels and solving logistical challenges
  • Supporting promotional planning and stock counts

What We're Looking For

This role is ideal for someone who:

  • Has a structured and detail-oriented approach to tasks
  • Enjoys working with numbers, data, and Excel
  • Is curious, proactive, and eager to learn
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, international environment
  • Communicates well in English (other languages are a plus)

Preferred Background

We welcome applicants from a variety of educational and professional backgrounds. A bachelor's degree in business, retail, or a related field is preferred — for example from KEA, Copenhagen Business School (CBS), or a similar institution. However, what matters most is your motivation and potential.
