The agile and cross-functional teams consist of experienced software developers and a product manager. We value cooperation and self-organization and work together to give shape to the central part of Unzer's next generation payment processing platform, with a focus on alternative payment methods (APMs) and credit card payments (in PCI DSS scope).

What your work will look like:

• Lead a team of mostly senior software developers and play a pivotal role in guiding them to success.
• Be responsible for developing and enhancing our existing Ruby systems and running these in AWS.
• Ensure seamless collaboration and communication between the other teams in the organisation – mostly engineering teams and the product manager, but also occasionally with other stakeholders.
• You will be involved in all phases of software development, from design and implementation to maintenance and documentation.
• Assist and advise your colleagues in the creation of concepts and ideas.
• Mentor and provide guidance when and where it makes sense, nurturing a culture of growth and excellence within the team.

What you need to be successful in this role:

• 3+ years of experience in software development.
• 2+ years of experience as an engineering manager, team lead or a similar role with strong leadership skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team, providing guidance and support.
• You possess the ability to see the big picture and make strategic decisions that align with the long-term goals of our projects.
• Expertise in AWS technologies.
• Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills.
