Customer Development Manager - Distributor Development

Analytical, commercially minded profile who can develop and elevate distributor sales across markets and create commercial growth through strong partnerships.

In this central role, you will be responsible for developing and growing selected focus markets with high potential. These could include markets such as the USA, France, Poland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, or Australia depending on your competencies and experience. What matters is that you work closely with the distributors, raise the performance level, and become a key contributor in HMF's international sales organization.

Growth and development across markets

As Customer Development Manager, you will be responsible for your own markets, and through data collection and market analysis you will create the right initiatives and action plans to ensure growth and development of existing distributors.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying new market opportunities and developing market attack plans based on data and analysis
  • Preparing and following up on sales budgets and action plans together with distributors
  • Building and optimizing partner and distributor structures in markets with varying levels of maturity
  • Strengthening relationships through partner visits, market tours and participation in trade fairs
  • Negotiating and preparing distributor contracts and ensuring clear follow-up on KPIs

Analytical, commercial and a persistent relationship builder

You bring a strong commercial background and experience working with distributors, agents or dealer networks – preferably in an international context and with technical products. You are driven by development and thrive in long-term, relationship-oriented processes where data, structure and persistence create results.

You may currently be working as a business developer, sales manager or similar. Alternatively, you may have worked within Commercial Excellence in a consulting firm and are now motivated to move to the other side and follow things through to completion.

You are fluent in English and preferably Danish, and additional language skills such as German, French or Spanish will be considered an advantage.
