Copenhagen, Denmark (Hybrid)About the RoleAs the Network and Cybersecurity Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing the network and cybersecurity architecture for Hitachi Rail DenmarksTMS infrastructure, supporting the ERTMS L2 signalling system for the F-Bane project. You will collaborate closely with our design team in Germany, local engineering colleagues, and external partners. This role requires both strategic vision and hands-on technical expertise in cybersecurity frameworks, compliance, and infrastructure.
You'll be a key contact for customer dialogue and responsible for aligning the solution with ISO 27001/27002, NIS2, and the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement network and cybersecurity architecture in collaboration with the Project Design Authority (PDA).
Develop and maintain a robust Network and Cybersecurity strategy for the project.
Align with the IT Network and Cybersecurity Engineer, as well as the operational security officer.
Ensure compliance with ISO 27001/27002 across all system design, processes, and training activities.
Lead strategy and implementation efforts for NIS2 and CRA compliance.
Assess and manage cybersecurity risks and vulnerabilities, working proactively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Oversee security incident response, including coordination of the Information Security Incident Response Team.
Manage subcontractors supporting security workstreams.
Provide regular status updates, risk reports, and KPIs to the Project Design Authority.
Maintain and update the cybersecurity risk matrix.
We're looking for candidates who bring a strong technical background and a collaborative mindset. You should have:
A technical degree in Network Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
In-depth experience with ISO 27001/27002 and IEC62443 standards.
Hands-on experience designing secure Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks, including VPNs.
Strong understanding of NIS2, CRA, PKI (certificate management), and virtualization technologies.
Proven ability to assess and manage security risks and vulnerabilities.
Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
Familiarity with railway systems and safety-critical environments is an advantage but not required.
