Your new role
As Senior Manager – Medical Effectiveness, you will play a central role in advancing medical excellence initiatives across international operations. You will drive impact measurement processes, build capabilities, and ensure seamless alignment between Medical Affairs and cross-functional teams.

Additionally, you will:

  • Collaborate with Regional Medical Excellence Directors and Global Medical Excellence teams to align strategy, execution, and performance metrics.
  • Drive implementation of Medical Excellence programs, ensuring consistency and adaptability to local market needs.
  • Support MSL community engagement, including KPI tracking, best-practice sharing, and field medical capability building.
  • Collect and analyse medical insights from field activities, advisory boards, and clinical interactions to inform strategic action plans.
  • Support training and coaching initiatives to strengthen scientific dialogue, operational efficiency, and launch readiness.
  • Contribute to innovation in medical engagement and digital solutions.

You will also act as a key liaison between Medical Affairs and cross-functional teams, ensuring cohesive planning and execution across therapy areas.

The role is office-based in Copenhagen, with international scope across multiple regions. You can expect approximately 20% travel internationally (mainly within Europe).

Your new department
You will be part of the Medical & Scientific Affairs Department, reporting to the VP of Cardiometabolic Medical & Scientific Affairs, and working closely under the functional leadership of the Medical Effectiveness lead, to ensure alignment of strategy and execution.

Our mission is to ensure that every medical initiative—whether in capability building, scientific engagement, or launch preparation—is grounded in data, driven by collaboration, and executed with excellence.

We foster innovation, cross-functional synergy, and continuous improvement to enhance the impact of our medical affairs organization globally.

Your Skills And Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you have:

  • A Master's degree or higher in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Medical Affairs or related roles within the pharmaceutical industry, ideally including field experience (MSL or Medical Advisor).
  • Demonstrated experience leading Medical Excellence initiatives including medical performance management, and ensuring cross-functional, regional, and affiliate alignment. Prior exposure to cardiometabolic or obesity therapy areas is a distinct plus.
  • Strong knowledge of scientific communication, evidence generation, and stakeholder engagement (KOLs, professional associations, etc.).
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and stakeholders in complex environments
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Veeva) and data-driven decision-making.

Ideally you should also combine scientific depth with operational excellence, you are structured, analytical, and have attention to detail. Be someone who can turn insights into action and empower teams to deliver meaningful medical impact.
