Pattern Designer

At VILA, you will be part of an international and dynamic environment where daily operations meets innovational thinking. You will take responsibility for the process from sketch to finished product, combining your technical expertise with new digital tools such as 3D and AI.

THE TEAM
You will be a part of a dedicated and an international team with 13 colleagues of pattern designers and fitting assistance. Our team is working with fit development of all product types across all collection activities at VILA in close cooperation with buyers, designers and our suppliers around the world. Our passion is to ensure that VILA products always have the best commercial fit matching our customers' needs. We are ambitious about our performance, and we challenge each other positively to ensure we always perform better than yesterday.  

THE JOB
You will play a key role in ensuring the right balance between creativity and commercial standards by providing technical expertise and collaborating with design and buying teams for our CBO (Cross Border Online) and Denim collections. You are passionate about denim production and development and share your expertise into collaboration with the denim team. As pattern designer for our CBO concept you will be handling full wardrobe collections translating the customers' needs into the right products through curiosity and your drive to understand different product types and different markets. You will work closely with our suppliers, inspiring them to meet our technical standards and ensuring they stay motivated and continuously develop in line with our guidelines and requirements by in-house, onsite and online meetings.
Your responsibilities

• Maintain consistency in fit and sizing standards across collections and suppliers
• Provide technical guidance, corrections, and approvals from first sample to final production
• Commenting on fitting and design in collaboration with buyers and designers
• Develop and improve products through 2D/3D workflows (CLO & CLOSET)
• Contribute to integrating new digital tools and smarter ways of working in daily operations

• An educational background within Pattern/Technical Design and solid experience as a pattern/technical designer
• Strong understanding of good fit, shape and functionality
• Solid understanding of production flows and quality assurance processes
• Experience with 3D (CLO & CLOSET) is an advantage
• Production experience and/or a strong interest in denim development
• Communicates fluently in English, both written and spoken
