Core Responsibilities- Develop innovative automated logistics and warehouse concepts tailored for LEGO factories, focusing on enhancing efficiency and productivity.
- Collaborate with key internal stakeholders and primary equipment suppliers to design resilient and forward-thinking solutions.
- Draft detailed specifications for the foundational contracts to ensure clarity and alignment with project goals.
- Create comprehensive technical specifications and functional logic specifications to support project requirements and ensure successful implementation.
- Plan and implement equipment and comprehensive system validation tests, including Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
- Develop building specifications to ensure that structures are either modified or constructed to accommodate the equipment effectively.
- Provide ad-hoc support to the Warehouse and Logistics Operations teams in our factories to address immediate needs and challenges.
- Offer ad-hoc support to projects across the MD&I Logistics and Warehouse project portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
MD&I is a global Engineering and Project organization supporting our factories with capacity expansion. The MD&I Technology Specialists and Project managers has a hands-on approach towards continuously improve the technologies to enable our internal customers to succeed with their manufacturing objectives.
The Technology Specialist is working within one or more strategic important Logistics technologies, creates partnerships with stakeholders and suppliers and here by drive the defined global agenda for the technologies, by either taking the role as global platform owner or technical lead.
Do you have what it takes?- Proven experience in a Specialist role , with a strong focus on Automation, Robotics, or Engineering.
- Hands-on experience with the installation and IT integration of automation equipment on shop floors, including the ability to articulate end-to-end processes and specifications.
- Valuable experience in Automation and logistics systems is highly regarded.
- Familiarity with SCADA systems, robotics, and PLC systems is an advantage.
- Knowledge of data tracking, warehousing systems (WMS), and communication protocols.
- A creative problem solver with proactive problem-solving skills and excellent project management capabilities.
- Demonstrated initiative in recognizing and acting on opportunities.
- Willingness to travel approximately 30-40 days per year.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
