Volunteer in Diversity Works' new – and already VERY popular – Everyday IT consulting
As one of Denmark's oldest NGOs for ethnic minority Danes, Diversity Works works from a strong and long-standing foundation of expertise, knowledge and experience about social inequality and vulnerability. We work for the empowerment and inclusion of ethnic minority women and their families through advice, networking, competence building and bridging to Danish society.
With our new offering Everyday IT, we want to support users who experience challenges with digital solutions and communication with public and private agencies. And there is already great demand – the activity is very popular , and therefore we need more volunteers.
What is Everyday IT?
At Hverdags IT, we help users with the digital and practical questions that come up in everyday life. For example, this can help with:
Understand letters from the municipality, tax, healthcare, etc.
Use MitID, e-Boks, and other digital self-service solutions
Read messages from housing company, insurance, school or other agencies
Create an email address and generally become more digitally self-reliant
Fill out forms and apply for support schemes
Install apps or understand phone features
And many other little things that make everyday life easier
Everyday IT takes place as 1-to-1 support in a safe environment, where there is plenty of time, peace and focus on the individual user's needs.
Right now we are looking for volunteers who want to make a concrete difference in people's everyday lives.
About you:
You can volunteer every or every other Thursday from 1–4 pm in Blågårdsgade.
You don't need a specific professional background - the most important thing is that you are patient, accommodating and want to help others with IT at a beginner level.
You are interested in social work or counseling and thrive in meeting people from all over the world.
You work appreciatively, curiously and with an eye for the resources of the individual user.
