Be a Versatile Design Lead in Medical Imaging Innovation

Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Imaging engineer, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of camera and imaging technology for our endoscopic products. Whether driving technical excellence or collaborating across disciplines, your work will ensure our solutions meet user needs and elevate healthcare innovation.

In Camera Technology Projects, You Will

• Scout and identify the latest camera sensor, optical, and illumination technology.
• Drive technology projects to develop and prototype imaging solutions with selected partners/suppliers.
• Promote technology projects to relevant stakeholders.

In Endoscope Product Projects, You Will

• Understand user needs and translate into imaging performance requirement
• Select appropriate imaging components, including sensors, optics, and illumination
• Integrate imaging solutions into products – from concepting to prototyping, calibration, testing, and verification.
• Support production teams with camera quality inspection and troubleshooting
• Participate in clinical user testing and provide technical imaging support
• Ensure documentation and reporting comply with medical device standard

As a Senior Engineer, You Will Also

• Lead imaging design in endoscope product projects
• Conduct supplier RFQs and manage supplier selection
• Oversee supplier contracts and budget planning for camera components
• Align camera project timelines with overall project plans
• Oversee both imaging and mechanical aspects of camera development
• Identify risks and bottlenecks early and communicate effectively with project managers and system engineers

Suggested Candidate Profile
Skills and experiences can be earned in many different ways, and we understand that the best fit for the role cannot be prescribed on paper. You are however likely to succeed in this position if you have:

• 5+ years of experience in system engineering or technical leadership in hardware, camera, or imaging product development
• Broad experience in designing optical-mechanical components, such as cameras, lenses, illumination, and electronical wire design.
• Deep understanding of camera optical performance metrics, such as MTF, depth of field, field of view, distortion
• Proficiency in camera testing and performance evaluation
• Hands-on experience with ISP, camera calibration, and imaging pipeline tuning
• Experience with mechanical and electronic integration is a strong plus
• Strong communication skills and a user-centric mindset

Ballerup, Denmark

Augsburg, Germany.
