Here Is What The Job Entails
As our new Senior Analytics Specialist, you will own the semantic and analytical layer of Kamstrup's data landscape. You will define how trusted data from our enterprise data platform is modeled, structured, and exposed in Power BI—ensuring consistency, governance, and performance across reports, dashboards, and business areas. This role sits at the intersection of architecture, governance, and analytics enablement. You will collaborate closely with our Data Platform Architect, Data Engineers, and business stakeholders to design a future-proof analytical layer that scales from corporate KPIs to self-service analytics.

More specifically, you will be:

• Architecting and governing Power BI semantic models, shared datasets, and data marts across business units
• Defining and implementing standards for modeling, naming, calculation logic (DAX), and security (RLS/OLS)
• Designing a coherent semantic contract between the data platform and business reporting—ensuring trust and reusability
• Optimizing performance, refresh, and Direct Lake / DirectQuery configurations for large-scale Power BI environments
• Leading data certification, documentation, and lifecycle management of analytical assets
• Partnering with Data Engineers to align data warehouse and lakehouse structures with modeling best practices
• Supporting report developers and analysts with architecture guidance, governance, and reusable model patterns

In this role, you will experience the freedom to conduct proofs of concept on new Fabric and Power BI features to keep Kamstrup on the leading edge. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to co-lead Kamstrup's Analytics Community of Practice, promoting shared learning, templates, and design consistency.

Less About Us, More About You
We are looking for an experienced Senior Analytics Specialist who is passionate about turning raw data into reliable, governed insight—and you understand that great analytics start with great modelling. You combine deep Power BI expertise with a strong sense of architecture, structure, and quality. To achieve this, we imagine that you have a minimum of 5 years of experience in data modelling, BI architecture, or analytics engineering, ideally in Microsoft environments. You communicate clearly across both technical and non-technical audiences.

In order to succeed, we imagine that you have:

• Proven expertise in Power BI, including dataset modeling, DAX, calculation groups, and composite models
• Strong understanding of tabular architecture (Analysis Services / Fabric semantic models) and their operational lifecycle
• Hands-on experience with security (RLS/OLS), workspace governance, and deployment pipelines
• Familiarity with Azure Data Platform components and integration with Microsoft Fabric
• Ability to balance standardization with flexibility—designing for both enterprise reporting and self-service
• A structured but pragmatic, curious yet decisive personality

It is considered an advantage if you have experience with Power BI governance, DevOps or CI/CD integration, and optimizing visual performance, UX, and user adoption.

As we are an international organization it is important that you are fluent in English. Danish is considered an advantage.
