Are you driven by environmental compliance and sustainability? Do you want to make a tangible impact across both research and production environments? Novonesis Corporate Environment is seeking a skilled and proactive Environmental Specialist to support and strengthen our environmental performance at two key sites in Novonesis: Hørsholm and Lyngby.

Welcome to Corporate Environment
We provide dedicated support to the Danish production and R&D sites at Novonesis, focusing on environmental permits, regulatory approvals, and communication with environmental authorities.

In addition to our local responsibilities, we hold global accountability for environmental management systems and consolidated environmental reporting across all Novonesis sites. We also contribute to global environmental initiatives aligned with Novonesis' sustainability targets.

Our team consists of seven specialists located at Danish sites, working in close collaboration. We maintain strong partnerships with Production, R&D, and Sustainability departments to ensure environmental compliance and accurate reporting.

In This Role You'll Make An Impact By

• Ensure compliance with environmental legislation across both sites: Lyngby and Hørsholm (primarily R&D activities) Hørsholm includes small-scale production with wastewater permit and environmental approvals
• Manage and maintain environmental permits and approvals, including liaison with authorities
• Ensure site-level compliance with Novonesis' ISO 14001 environmental management system
• Drive initiatives to align site environmental performance with global sustainability targets
• Provide expert guidance to site teams on environmental matters and sustainable practices
• Participate in and support projects focused on waste reduction, energy optimization, and circular economy
• Conduct root cause analysis and follow-up on reportable environmental incidents
• Compile and report environmental data for both sites
• Perform environmental assessments of raw materials and chemicals
• Coordinate environmental audits and inspections

To Succeed You Must Hold

• Degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related discipline
• Experience from a production or industrial setting is an advantage
• Solid understanding of ISO 14001 and environmental management systems
• Structured and analytical approach with strong collaboration skills
• Excellent communication skills in both Danish and English (Danish language proficiency is required)
