Danske Bank is looking for a Data Centre Operations Manager to manage the day-to-day data centre operations, following industry best practices and lead process improvement initiatives across the data centre organisation.

Your role

As our new Data Centre Operations Manager, you will be at the heart of our Data Centre Services, ensuring all day-to-day operations are efficient, effective, and meet our high-quality standards. You will lead the data centre operations team of 6, collaborating with colleagues across Technology and Physical Security, as well as with third-party vendors, to deliver on our contractual obligations.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for managing the team of specialists, ensuring operations run smoothly, and operational stability is maintained. You will supervise Data Centre operations personnel and lead, direct and share knowledge on best practices across the function. More specifically, the responsibilities are:

  • Operational Management: Direct daily data centre operations, including capacity, placement, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) management, as well as leading a Team of Site Leads
  • Strategy & Optimization: Support the strategy and recommend improvements for efficiency, security, and reliability
  • Governance & Risk: Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and internal policies. Facilitate audits and provide input on risk identification
  • Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Oversee and control third-party contracts and liaise with internal teams (e.g., Physical Security) and vendors on all operational activities, including access control and surveillance
  • Reporting: Utilize DCIM (Data Centre Infrastructure Management) systems to provide clear and insightful reports on key metrics and activities

We are looking for someone who brings extensive experience in managing data centres and possesses the following qualifications:

  • Leadership: Experience in managing data centres in a leadership role. You know how to inspire a team, set clear goals, and provide support
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills to lead initiatives
  • Communication: Advanced verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams
  • Financial Acumen: Experience in data centre operations planning, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to identify and resolve complex technical and operational issues
  • Logistics: Must be based in Denmark with a valid driver's license for travel between sites in Ballerup and Bagsværd a couple of times a month
