Are you passionate about shaping tools that sit at the heart of modern energy trading and flexibility?

At Mind Energy, you step into a role where energy markets, digital product development, and business-critical operations meet. As our new Product Owner, you will lead the evolution of our Energy Trading Management Platform, the backbone that powers how we participate in ancillary services, manage flexibility, and deliver value across multiple Nordic markets.

DIVE INTO WHAT YOUR DAY-TO-DAY TASKS LOOK LIKE

This role is for someone who sees opportunity in intricate processes and turns them into intuitive digital experiences, efficient workflows, and scalable product capabilities.

You will work at the intersection of business, regulation, users, and technology. From gathering insights directly from traders and operational teams to translating them into actionable plans for developers, you ensure that our platform evolves with precision, purpose, and impact.

Your mission is to:

  • Set and steer the product direction by owning the vision, roadmap, and success metrics for our Energy Trading Management Platform
  • Translate user and market needs into clear product requirements, including epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Prioritise and maintain the product backlog, continually refining it based on feedback, technical constraints, and evolving business needs
  • Identify new opportunities within ancillary services, automation, workflow optimisation, and integrations
  • Collaborate closely with teams across the business to validate challenges, align solutions, and ensure shared understanding
  • Lead the development process, including sprint planning with our external development partner, and facilitate reviews, demos, and workshops
  • Ensure quality and compliance by safeguarding performance, security, and regulatory standards in every product increment
  • Validate new features end-to-end through user testing, acceptance testing, and structured release management

JOIN A TEAM OF MINDFUL ACHIEVERS

You join a passionate commercial organisation working at the front line of energy flexibility. Together, we are building a scalable, compliant, and customer-centric offering that helps industrials, energy suppliers, and aggregators participate in balancing markets and unlock new revenue streams. What brings us together is a shared dedication to making the complex simple and to creating systems and processes that scale. You will work closely with experts across trading, operations, and engineering, all aligned around the mission of shaping digital tools that push the energy transition forward.

LET'S SWITCH THE FOCUS TO YOU

You bring a commercial mindset, a strong understanding of the energy flexibility ecosystem, and a passion for turning user needs into actionable product development. This role is for someone who thrives in complexity, brings clarity and connects the dots across markets, regulations, customers and technology and translates market rules, operational workflows, and user challenges into a clear product direction. You build bridges between commercial strategy, engineering execution, and real-world trading operations and the decisions you make shape the platform that enables our growth.

We imagine that you bring:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager within the energy sector
  • Strong knowledge of flexibility services, grid balancing, and participation in Nordic balancing markets
  • Experience with demand response, VPPs, or ancillary services (mFRR, aFRR, FCR)
  • Familiarity with TSOs and participation criteria in Sweden, Norway, or Finland
  • Solid understanding of flexibility assets from technical, operational, and regulatory perspectives
  • Experience navigating market frameworks and communication standards
  • The ability to collaborate across technical and commercial teams and to communicate complex topics clearly
  • A degree in engineering, energy systems, economics, or equivalent practical experience
  • Fluency in English; Nordic languages are a plus

We encourage candidates from all backgrounds and identities to apply, as we believe that a diverse team leads to innovation and success.

Please note that this role requires working from our office location in Aarhus N.
