Are you passionate about data analytics? And do you have a talent for transforming data into understandable information through story-telling methodology? Then you might be our new Student Assistant for BI&A.

With our Double Impact strategy, our ambition is to double Hempel's revenue by 2025 through both organic growth and mergers or acquisitions. To support the ambition, we aspire to deliver fact based reliable insights and highlight efficiency improvement opportunities within Hempel.

What you can look forward to in this role

The BI&A team is working towards being the information link between Digital and Operations. As a part of the team, you will get the opportunity to learn about our processes, support analytics across multiple Hempel functions and potentially participate in improvement projects. Furthermore you will be involved in: 

  • Building data models and develop tools for end users in Power BI
  • Data quality improvement work
  • Support analytics within Operations

You will be joining a dedicated team of 4 amazing colleagues in the BI&A team, and you will be working from our office in Kgs. Lyngby. We expect you to work 15-20 hours a week.  

What we are looking for

To be qualified for the role, you must be a university student, preferably within engineering/math/business analytics or similar. You are good with math and have a will of keeping your knowledge up to date. You already have experience with Excel (medium/advanced) and understand how tables are combined (VLOOKUP etc.). It is also important that you can communicate well in both written and spoken English. 

Furthermore, the following is not a requirement but is seen as an advantage:

  • Knowledge about relational databases concepts (dimensions, facts, primary/foreign keys etc.)
  • Knowledge of T-SQL
  • Familiarity with DAX/M Language
  • Basic understanding of Operations processes (Supply Chain, S&OP etc)

We will of course give you a thorough onboarding and make sure you learn to use the systems, you will be working with. You will among other things learn how to build data models and use Power BI reporting.
