Do you want to be responsible for establishing and managing the overall risk management and compliance framework in Toyota Financial Services Denmark?
We are currently looking for a Risk & Compliance Manager who will work closely with and across the business to drive and enhance a positive culture of risk and compliance.
The job
You will be responsible for the design, implementation and management of the overall Compliance and Risk Management Strategy and for cultivating a culture of accountability and transparency, to promote risk and compliance management awareness and ownership throughout the organization. Some travel to Silkeborg and Europe will be required.
Key responsibilities
and tasks:
• Maintain a clear and effective risk management framework, with appropriate policy and procedures aligned with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Manage a compliance framework including, inter alia, a compliance risk assessment, annual compliance plan and risk-based testing and monitoring of programmes.
• Provide the Board with regular risk reporting to enable informed decision-making and ensure the adequacy of risk and compliance training provided to the Board.
• Provide support and advice to management on risk, compliance and regulatory matters.
• Implement an effective risk-based monitoring program to assess compliance with conduct risk and consumer protection requirements.
• Create and implement compliance programmes that are aligned with risk appetite, strategic objectives, regulatory obligations.
• Monitor regulatory developments and changes to ensure programs remain fit for purpose and effective in addressing existing and evolving regulatory requirements.
• Ensure clear governance, roles and responsibility in relation to risk-based decision making.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging the results of compliance investigations and monitoring to strengthen the overall compliance program.
• Partner with the business to assist managers in making well informed and calculated risks to achieve TFS’ strategic objectives.
• Manage in-appetite risks with due consideration of risk vs. return trade-offs, consulting with risk experts, the executive team and the Board as and when appropriate.
• Plan and deliver training initiatives to support compliance and risk awareness in day-to-day activities and improve understanding of individual roles in adhering to standards and expectations.
• Keep abreast of regulatory and industry developments by liaising with and building a strong network of external stakeholders.
• Represent the company when required in relation to risk and compliance management
• Contribute to regulatory change initiatives through attendance at regulatory events and/or drafting submissions on proposed regulatory change.
• Manage routine and ad hoc audits, reports and regulatory reviews including the implementation of any recommendations. The Team Toyota Financial Services Denmark is part of the Toyota Motor Group and was establised in 2002 as part of a global strategy. Our offices, that we share with Toyota Denmark A/S and Lexus, are located in Søborg. We are currently 16 colleagues in TFSDK, so you will be joining a team that work closely together and across the business every day. Who are you We expect you to have at least 5 years’ professional experience in risk management, ideally in an international corporate environment with complex stakeholder structure and that you have a strong ability to build relationships and stimulate collaboration. Skills/experience
• A degree in economics, finance or a comparable qualification
• In-depth knowledge of management reporting, the analysis of key performance indicators and the preparation of decision-making documents
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, including the visualisation and presentation of complex data and processes
• An analytical mindset and a structured, solution-oriented approach to work;
• Experience in project management is an advantage
• Fluent in Danish and business-fluent English and strong communication skills for collaborating with international departments and senior management.
