We are seeking a BMS Package Lead to join a major data centre construction project in Denmark. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced BMS or Controls Engineer, BMS Project Manager, or Package Manager to take responsibility for the delivery, coordination, commissioning, and handover of critical building automation systems within a complex, mission-critical environment. The Opportunity: You will lead the BMS package from design review through installation, testing, commissioning, and final handover. Working closely with mechanical, electrical, CSA, commissioning, subcontractor, and client teams, you will ensure all systems are delivered safely, to programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full BMS package lifecycle, from design coordination through installation, commissioning, and handover.
- Coordinate BMS subcontractors, vendors, and specialist suppliers.
- Review technical submittals, RFIs, method statements, shop drawings, and commissioning documentation.
- Ensure all works comply with project specifications, contractual requirements, and relevant industry standards.
- Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, CSA, and commissioning teams to ensure seamless system integration.
- Monitor project progress, programme milestones, subcontractor performance, and package budgets.
- Lead package coordination meetings and manage technical queries, risks, and mitigation plans.
- Support pre-commissioning, functional testing, integrated systems testing (IST), and client demonstrations.
- Maintain QA/QC documentation and ensure compliance with project quality procedures.
- Coordinate O&M manuals, client training, and final handover documentation.
- Promote a strong health and safety culture across all site activities. What We’re Looking For:
- A degree, trade qualification, or equivalent technical background in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Automation, Controls Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience delivering BMS or Controls packages on large-scale construction projects.
- Previous experience in data centres, pharmaceutical, industrial, or other mission-critical environments.
- Strong knowledge of BMS platforms such as Siemens, Schneider, Trend, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, or equivalent systems.
- A good understanding of HVAC controls, electrical systems, network architecture, and building automation technologies.
- Proven experience coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and multiple project disciplines.
- Strong organisational, planning, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver against challenging project deadlines. Why Consider This Opportunity?
- Work on a major data centre construction project in Denmark.
- Take ownership of a critical building systems package from design through to handover.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.
- Develop your experience within the rapidly growing data centre and mission-critical sector.
- Competitive salary and benefits package, with additional project-related benefits subject to the overall offer. Interested?
