Modelshop Intern

BIG is looking for a talented architecture student with a particular interest in model making and architectural fabrication to join our Copenhagen office.
 
As the Modelshop Intern, you will be responsible for building models and mock-ups alongside our Modelshop team, in collaboration with our architecture project teams. The position offers exposure to all aspects of working in a model workshop including upkeep and facility improvement tasks.

NB: Please only apply if your internship can run for a minimum of 6 months.

Requirements: Be a current student.Graduates (master level and 5 yrs bachelor) cannot be considered as interns despite having a student status. We will follow up on your educational status and you will have to sign a declaration prior to your start. Basic skills in Rhino, advanced skills is a plus Experience with and a particular interest in physical model-making Experience with 3d-printing and laser cutting Knowledge of alternate making methods such as resin/plaster casting, etc. is a plus A noted attention to detail and interest in quality craft A flexible attitude towards new ways of working Ability to take initiative in response to direction or instructions Have great interpersonal communication skills Be fluent in English Available for at least 6 months
