of the job:

The Service engineer ensures that our customers are happy with Heidelberg System Service and makes sure that customer’s equipment is serviced in excellence, with dedication and efficiency. Service should always be performed according to strategies, financial goals, policies, set by Heidelberg Nordic. Service engineer should, in cooperation with service Coordinator, strive to achieve highest level of customer satisfaction.

Skills:

The Press Electrical (Mechatronic) Engineer will have a recognized engineering qualification (such as BTEC or City & Guilds) with a wide range of electrical, mechanical, computer-based engineering skills. Experience of working on commercial equipment within a production environment alone and as part of a team is required.

Consistently displaying a positive attitude towards customer service is a necessity, as is the ability to work within a close team, whilst displaying the necessary individual initiative required to achieve and maintain service targets and KPI’s. Good communication, IT and customer liaison skills are essential to this role.

Technical know-how pertaining the Press industry and equipment. PC / MAC knowledge Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on technical understanding of the problem at hand. Your primary job functions are to:

Perform troubleshooting and perform repairs, in the area of your knowledge Assist / carry out pre-installation visits. Install equipment. Prepare / perform customer demos. Give sales support in customer dealings. Specify and validate configurations. Check quotations and orders. Prepare / carry out final acceptance tests. Aid in sales of service, service contracts and equipment. Carry out costumer job tests. Participate in local product launches. Assume the role of Project leader, when required. Keep yourself updated on product, company and industry information.

You have the following authority:

Independently decide upon:

Order spare parts from Heidelberg for on –going service jobs.

In cooperation with service coordinator, plan follow up repair-visits.

In cooperation with service coordinator, plan maintenance visits.

Jointly decide upon with managers:

Plan installations

You are to do the following reporting:

Daily reporting to service coordinator

Service order reports,

Installations reports

Time reports

Travel reports

You are to participate in the following meetings:

Local service meetings

Customer meetings

Open house & exhibitions

VIP arrangements when required

Supplier meetings

Swe-Den information meetings when required

You must maintain the following contacts:

Internally:

Daily contact with service coordinator Regular contact with technical clarification engineers / GCC support Regular contact with service supervisor Regular contact with sales. Regular contact with other relevant Heidelberg staff.

Externally:

Daily contact with customers 3rd party service partners Other suppliers and partners as requested.
