About the department
Site Support & Improvements is a part of Injectable Finished Products (IFP) Manufacturing Development in PS Novo Nordisk. The department is organised in six areas with approx. 150 employees. The department is responsible for providing support to our production sites around the world. 


The position is in the Biophysical Characterization team, which consists of 2 Specialists, 12 Scientists and 7 Technicians. The current analytical platform consists of a variety of biophysical techniques including MFI, DLS, CG-MALS, FT-IR, Thioflavin T (ThT) fibrillation assays, Turbiscanner, UV-VIS, Cryo-TEM and SAXS/WAXS.

The position

As a Biophysical Characterization Scientist, you will:
• Support production sites with biophysical knowledge and apply biophysical analyses to process-related challenges
• Collaborate with other scientists to develop a fundamental understanding of our products and manufacturing processes
• Contribute to problem-solving efforts and provide input for future challenges in production
• Maintain and improve the analytical platform used by the team to ensure efficient and scientifically sound support to the sites

Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you have:
• A MSc Degree in a relevant scientific discipline such as biophysics, soft matter physics, physical chemistry, bio- or nano engineering, crystallography, or similar
• Knowledge about protein solution behaviour and stability
• Experience with characterization methods is considered an advantage, e.g., MFI, ThT fibrillation assay, FT-IR, rheology, and/or scattering techniques such as DLS, SLS, and SAXS
• Experience applying biophysical analyses to process-related challenges is considered an advantage
• Professional fluency in English
