Key role with high level of responsibility

We are expanding our team of functional safety experts.

In this role, you will join the team of hardware architects i MiR R&D, who already work with functional safety in our robots.

Functional safety is a core competence in MiR, and a core feature of our robots. Therefore this position is highly respected among the organisation, and the designs and decisions made by the architect team can have a huge impact on the product.

In your work you will have to balance between market requirements on performance & agility and safety requirements.

We are designing our own safety components and require therefore expert knowledge of industry standards in functional safety. Our products are developed using the V-model, and the documentation of everything related to safety is on the highest level. We are having our design validated by external certified bodies like TüV, who you will also be in contact with.

You will be part of an exciting and multicultural working environment with hardworking and skilled electrical and mechanical engineers, who are all working on new product development and new product introduction.

Your tasks and responsibilities will include:

Work with project teams on risk assessment (ISO 12100) Functional safety architecture of the robots, following standards like ISO 13849 and ISO 61508 Create and maintain SRP/CS documentation. Create and maintain Safety Requirement Specification Create and maintain Realization and verification documentation. Create and maintain safety evaluation documentation (eg Sistema report) Cooperation with stakeholders in relation to safety in the product. Eg. SW developers, Testers etc Design and implement functional safety architecture in new development projects.

To be successful in this role, you have a professional foundation:

You have proven experience in machine safety and functional safety in industrial or automotive applications You have 5+ years of experience with relevant standards like ISO 13849 and ISO 61508. You have a broad knowledge in all aspects of electrical and electronics, and especially motors, communication interfaces and sensors You have strong communication skills and are fluent in Danish and English
