Senior Cyber Security Engineer/Architect

Join the Digital Transformation Revolution with Schneider Electric As our Senior Cyber Security Engineer/Architect you’d be joining our R&D Center in Kolding in the Software Team within the Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) domain In this position you will play a critical role in shaping the Cyber Security landscape, and how compliance is done within the software Department.
What is the product? In Core Software we develop and maintain a software portfolio used by Data Center Managers across the world to keep an eye on the health of their data centers.
The portfolio offers a single provider for all DCIM needs including On-prem and Cloud solutions that covers Planning, Modelling, Monitoring, Management, Environmental and Security features.
How do we work? Schneider Electric’s development culture is fuelled by a desire to put the customer first by ensuring great collaboration between Customers and the Product Teams.
We work in sprints in accordance with good agile principles inspired by SCRUM and Kanban.
Most teams are organized as stream-aligned teams with full end-to-end responsibility for a specific area of the solution.
What will you be doing? Promote and support maintaining a high level of Cyber Security awareness and compliance in Core Software in collaboration with Cyber Security Analysts.
Coordinate, facilitate and implement security measures across the software portfolio.
This could include corporate measures, results from audits or supporting SDL (Secure Development Lifecycle) implementations.
Run high priority security tasks or projects across product teams.
Support teams with best practices for secure software development (OWASP, CVE.org).
Help the Cyber Security Analyst with promoting and updating our processes and procedures for compliance, risk evaluation and incident management (SDL, ISO, Audits).
Actively participate in the design and implementation of security controls, identity and access management (IAM) policies, threat modelling and other security related tasks.
Assist with customer questions and sales when needed.
What Will Help You Succeed:
Suitable educational background such as a Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Security, or related field.
Experience with secure software development, cloud security and compliance.
Strong understanding of secure software development principles and best practices for both cloud and on-prem applications and services.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and their respective security services and controls as well as compliance frameworks such as SSDLC, SOC 2, ISO , or other industry-specific security standards.
Certifications such as CCSP, CISSP, AWS Certified Security - Specialty, or related certifications are a plus.
You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on securing environments and applications.
You have a learning mindset and challenge the status quo.
Communication and collaboration come naturally, and you work effectively with cross-functional engineering teams across multiple countries You work well in a fast-paced development environment and have a passion for staying updated with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and best practices to adapt to evolving security challenges.
